D6 Itinerary
It's the return day, with water sources all along the way; thanks to days of fog and drizzle, water hasn't been scarce, so you can just refill along the way and don't need to carry much. This stretch is mostly forest road with not much climbing; the more important thing is the landslide walls, especially the big one at 9K — this section can only be crossed with a full-pack high bypass, not a contour route! Not a contour route! Not a contour route! There's also a short creek-wading section — for extra safety, walking a bit further is never a real loss; don't be greedy for speed, the shortest path isn't always the fastest one!
Finally reaching the endpoint, Siaosyueshan Travel Information Station, which provides hot water for hikers to warm up.
