D1 Itinerary

Baigu Dashan is shaded almost the entire way. After the trailhead, the trail runs along a forest road; hikers who need to top up water or want to carry extra can refer to the waypoints marked 「水」(water), open the valve to fill up, and be sure to close it tightly again afterward. This is basically all fresh spring water, so drinking it straight is generally fine — though of course running it through a filter first gives more peace of mind.

For a leisurely three-day group hike, if you don't take frequent long breaks, it takes about three hours from the trailhead to reach the campsite roughly halfway up the trail.
