Acclimatization day.
Today climbs from 3,409 m up to HOTEL EVEREST VIEW at 3,885 m for coffee, then back down to HOTEL BODHI at 3,409 m for lunch and rest.
This stretch has plenty of viewpoints for the Himalayas — marked as 'Everest View' on the Open Map data in the offline app I was using — so make the most of them if the weather's good. This is where the huge mountain views really start piling up. Especially from Waypoint 56 to Waypoint 60, walking along the slope, it's postcard scenery the whole way.
This stretch also passes Syangboche Airport at 3,700 m and a recycling museum at 3,775 m — if you're not in a rush, take it slow, slow, slow.
On the way back, it's well worth restocking at the shop at Waypoint 64 — they sell Coca-Cola for just 150 rupees and all sorts of supplies cheaper than at the lodges. I have a reasonable suspicion the owner either has a magic portal or is getting deliveries flown in overloaded on a helicopter.
