D7 Itinerary

Leaving HOTEL GOOD LUCK², we trekked along a broad valley to Dughla (Thukla). The scenery from each rest stop along the way is dramatic, with prayer flags fluttering from stone cairns alongside animal skulls as decoration. From here on, since today's lodging is close to 5,000 m, it's worth taking it slow — not just to let your body gradually adjust to the thin air at high altitude, but also to enjoy the beautiful scenery on the approach to EBC.

There are a number of memorials at Waypoint 119, worth pausing to look over one by one and reflect on the contributions of those who came before.
